Lightpath® Thermal Imaging Assemblies
• Precision Molded Chalcogenide Lenses
• Compact Designs for Thermal Imaging Cameras
• Focal Lengths from 2,7 to 24 mm
Lightpath® Thermal Imaging Assemblies are a costeff
ective alternative to diamond turned infrared lenses
for applications in the mid-wave infrared (MWIR)
or long-wave infrared (LWIR). These lenses are
molded from BD6™, a chalcogenide glass that off ers
high transmission from 1 to 15 μm and is also optically
athermalized from -40 to +85°C. These lenses
feature a broadband antirefl ection coating from 8 to
12 μm and are mounted in compact black anodized
aluminum housings that are threaded to allow for
adjustable focus. Lightpath Thermal Imaging Assemblies
are ideal for medical diagnostics, gas sensing,
thermography, thermal imaging, security, and manufacturing
process control applications. Lenses with focal
lengths from 2,7 to 24 mm are available, covering
detector sizes from 80 x 80 to 640 x 480 pixels.

• Maximum Coupling Effi ciency of Beams up
to 5 mm
• Easy Alignment with HeNe Lasers
• Performance from 2 - 12 μm
Zinc Selenide Infrared (IR) Focusing Objectives are
designed to provide maximum coupling effi ciency
between the output from an IR source and a singlemode
or multi-mode transmitting fi ber optic. The
aspheric design provides a focal spot smaller than the
fi ber core diameter, allowing for precision alignment
without negatively impacting transmission between
the objective and fi ber. Zinc Selenide Infrared (IR) Focusing
Objectives are available with a broadband antirefl
ection (AR) coating for 2 - 12 μm, and are ideal for
a range of fi ber coupling and IR focusing applications.
