TECHSPEC® Calcium Fluoride (CaF2) Aspheric
Lenses have high transmission from the ultraviolet
(UV) through the infrared (IR), covering the wavelength
range of 200 nm to 7 μm. Calcium Fluoride’s
low index of refraction enable these diamond turned
aspheric lenses to be integrated with minimal Fresnel
reflection loss without an anti-reflection coating.
Calcium Fluoride also offers low solubility and superior
hardness compared to other fluoride-based
substrates. TECHSPEC® Calcium Fluoride (CaF2)
Aspheric Lenses are available in two designs; one for
Nd:YAG, Excimer Laser, and other UV applications
with a design wavelength of 266 nm and the other for
spectroscopic, mid-wave IR (MWIR) thermal imaging,
and other IR applications with a design wavelength
of 4 μm. Please contact us for Calcium Fluoride

TECHSPEC® Calcium Fluoride Plano-Convex Lenses
are ideal for demanding applications that require superior
performance from the ultraviolet through the
mid-wave infrared spectra. TECHSPEC® Calcium
Fluoride PCX Lenses’ low refractive index, high laser
damage threshold, and low axial and radial-stress birefringence
are highly suitable for use with Excimer
lasers or for integration into infrared systems. Additionally,
calcium fluoride features low solubility and
offers superior hardness to comparable fluoridebased
substrates, making these PCX lenses capable
of withstanding harsh environments and exposure to
the elements.
