• Aluminum Substrate Mirrors
• Ideal for LWIR Laser Applications
• Aluminum and Gold Coating Options
These aluminum substrate, diamond turned Metal Mirrors are available with either a protected aluminum or
gold coating, and are ideal for LWIR (greater than 2000 nm) laser applications. Due to the 17,5 nm roughness
of the diamond turned surface, these mirrors may not be suitable for UV and visible applications that require
low scatter. The backs of the mirrors are machined flat and are tapped with 3 holes for easy, accurate mounting.

• Excellent Thermal Stability
• Ideal for Weight Sensitive Applications
• Increased Durability over Glass Substrate Mirrors
TECHSPEC® Silicon Substrate Gold Mirrors are specifically designed for integration into the most weightsensitive
applications, such as heads-up displays. The thermal stability of the lightweight silicon substrate
makes these optical mirrors an excellent solution for applications operating within the near-infrared or infrared
regions. Our TECHSPEC® Silicon Substrate Gold Mirrors feature increased durability over traditional glass
substrate mirrors, and the protected gold metallic coating provides an average reflectivity greater than 97%.

• Greater than 98% Reflectivity from 2 - 20 μm
• Copper Substrate Mirrors
• High Damage Thresholds
Broadband IR Laser Mirrors are ideal for demanding infrared laser applications such as those utilizing quantum
cascade or CO2 lasers. Broadband IR Laser Mirrors utilize a copper substrate to significantly increase the laser
damage threshold and to dissipate the excess heat generated from high power infrared lasers. Because copper
mirrors adequately dissipate excess heat, they feature superior mechanical stability than other substrates.
