TECHSPEC® Reflective Diffusers are designed for ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) diffusing applications,
providing higher efficiency in the respective spectra than transmissive diffusers. These diffusers feature a sandblasted
metallic coated surface that serves as a diffuse reflecting surface. Incident light reflected off this surface
is transformed to have a diffuse intensity pattern. TECHSPEC Reflective Diffusers are coated with either Enhanced
Aluminum or Protected Gold for high reflectivity in the UV or IR spectra, respectively. Standard sizes
with diameters as small as 5mm are available.

Transmission at 200nm
• Homogenous Light Distribution
Holographic Diffusers are used to control the diffuse
area of illumination and increase transmission efficiency
to greater than 90% from filament lamps, LEDs, arc
lamps, and other sources. These Holographic UV Diffusers
use a fused silica substrate and offer controlled,
homogenous light distribution from the UV through the
near-infrared spectra, with transmission levels of 70%
at 200nm. It is important to note that diffusing angles
are given for a collimated input beam and angular divergence
will vary for different incidence angles.
