• Shape Input Light to a Homogenized, Flat
Top Profi le
• Rectangular Output Beam Pattern
• Available Mounted in 25 or 50mm Protective
Rings
Flat Top Holographic Diff users shape collimated input
light into a homogenized, fl at top intensity profi le.
These diff users are designed to operate from 400 to
1600nm with a 45° x 35° full-width half max (FWHM)
angle, producing a rectangular output beam pattern.
They are mounted in 25 or 50mm protective rings facilitating
their use with standard optical mounts for
easy integration into benchtop optical systems. Flat
Top Holographic Diff users are ideal for integration
into LIDAR, heads up displays (HUDs), time of fl ight,
3D sensing, and machine vision applications.

LIGHT SHAPING DIFFUSERS
25˚
Two piece aluminum construction. All dimensions are in mm.
• Transmission Effi ciency >85%
• Elliptical and Circular Diff using Outputs
• Ideal for Visible and Near-Infrared Applications
Holographic Diff users are used to control the diffuse
area of illumination and increase transmission
effi ciency to greater than 90% from fi lament lamps,
LEDs, arc lamps, and other sources. Standard ground
glass and opal glass will produce diff use illumination,
but the diff use light area will often exceed the requirements
of the system. This over-illumination, associated
with traditional diff users, reduces effi ciency and
can often lead to added costs by requiring higher
power illumination sources, lenses, and possibly fi lters.
It is important to note that diff using angles are
given for a collimated input beam and angular divergence
will vary for diff erent incidence angles.
