TECHSPEC® Superpolished Substrates are superpolished on both surfaces to achieve superior surface specifications,
including ≤1Å RMS surface roughness. The superpolished surfaces of these windows reduce scatter,
making them ideal for UV or high power laser applications where scatter is a concern. The low scatter of these
windows also allows for their use as substrates for ion-beam sputtering (IBS) coatings. TECHSPEC Superpolished
Substrates are used in metrology applications including cavity-ring down spectroscopy, scatterometry,
and in ring laser gyroscopes, as well as in UV medical applications such as eye surgery. Please contact us if
your application requires a Superpolished Substrate with a custom size, if you are interested in custom coating
opportunities, or to discuss how these low scatter substrates will affect your coated optic performance. Single
side superpolishing is also available. Note: Superpolished surfaces must be stored in a dry nitrogen atmosphere
to retain their properties and cannot be stored for longer than 6 months.

TECHSPEC® Laser Mirror Substrates are manufactured from high quality fused silica and are designed for use
with high power laser sources. These mirrors feature excellent surface specifications, including l/10 surface
flatness and 10-5 surface quality, to limit the possibility of reduced performance due to surface defects. The
high surface quality of these mirror blanks also makes them ideal for use in demanding intra-cavity laser applications.
TECHSPEC Laser Mirror Substrates are available in standard imperial sizes, with either circular or
rectangular geometries. Please contact us if your application requires a custom size laser mirror substrate.

TECHSPEC® Uncoated Concave Laser Mirrors offer high precision 20-10 surface quality ideal for laser beam
focusing applications. Featuring fused silica substrates, these concave mirrors are resistant to thermal shock
and are available in focal lengths from 25mm to 500mm. TECHSPEC® Uncoated Concave Laser Mirrors are
ideal for applications in environments with temperature fluctuations. Custom coating options including protected
metal coatings and dielectric mirror coatings are available.
